For stronger & healthier plant growth.
In Australia, citrus is grown in regions where high summer temperatures are common. Air temperatures exceeding 28°C can cause trees to shut down, thereby stopping photosynthesis and stunting growth. Canopy temperature can be reduced by up to 8°C using a CGWS program, which in turn reduces overall stress on the tree. Over the hot summer months, this can mean a significant improvement in growth of young trees which in turn come into production earlier than would otherwise occur.
Ultimately a CGWS program provides the opportunity for earlier fruit production which can significantly improve the financial viability of new citrus plantings.
Among the many pests in the garden that we have to deal with seasonally, citrus gall wasp would have to be up there with the worst of them.
The swelling growths caused by the citrus gall wasp are pretty obvious, constant attacks will weaken your tree and cause it to produce less fruit.
These insects live off the tree’s sap while growing inside the branch and eventually, this will cause leaf-drop, reducing the tree’s ability to absorb sunlight to create the energy it needs to produce more leaves, flowers and fruit. The galls will cause the tree to become very weak and, if left untreated on the tree, the citrus gall wasp can and will destroy your tree over time.
Citrus Guard White Spray is a natural and effective way to control all types of citrus problems. The barrier film also not only protects your tree from sun damage it has the ability to prevent eggs being laid on new shoots which will also reduce the number of new damaged cause in the following season.
