Black Grit is a fused calcium magnesium silicate phosphate soil amendment/fertilizer that has been used successfully around the world for the last century in low fertility acid soils where it increases pH and CEC (Cation Exchange Capacity) and provides and helps unlock P in the soil.

Black grit

I have been an organic gardener for years. I have been using black grit for a few months along with the slow fertiliser and I have seen so much improvement in the soil and the plants growing in it. I am ready to assess the improvement with my fruit trees and the quality of the fruit. In my Adelaide metropolitan garden I have 3 apple trees, 2 plum, 1 apricot, 2 miniature nectarines and a newly planted peach tree and a few citrus. Along with these trees I grow my veggies and seen an improvement on the quality and taste of the veggies. Looking forward to seeing the quality of my roses and their ability to resist pest.
I highly recommend this organic soil conditioner, there is something in this product that you certainly can’t get with the organic fertilisers at a hardware store.
