Botanical Name: Lactuca sativa

A loose-leaf lettuce variety with tender, lobed, bright green leaves. Salad Bowl Green is fast-growing and heat-tolerant, perfect for continuous harvests. Mild flavour and crisp texture, ideal for salads and sandwiches. Highly nutritious, packed with vitamins A and C!

Sow When:

• Temperate: All year round.
• Subtropical: March - October
• Tropical: April – July (in cooler months)
• Arid: August - May
• Cool: August - May

Germination: 7 - 14 days.

Soil Temperature: 8 - 23 C.

Depth: 0.5 cm deep.

Position: Full sun to partial shade.

Sow Where: Direct into garden beds or containers.

Soil Type: Moist, well-drained soil with a pH of 6 - 7; enriched with compost.

Spacing: 15 - 20 cm between plants.

Harvest: 30 - 60 days depending on desired leaf size.

Water regularly, especially during hot periods to prevent bolting.
