Have just started using my previously purchased straw bale. I keep my bales for a few months prior to using in a position where they stay 'moist' and begin the decomposition process. So, my new bale(s) will not be used straight away

Good material easy to handle and place as base in the new vegetable beds as the Pea straw bales were pre cut sizes to suite the area that i was covering.

I used Vasilis pea straw for the first time in my Vegi beds this year, especially in the potato patch. The difference was extraordinary. It stopped the soil from drying out in the warm weather which has always been a problem in the past when using other mulches. Will definitely be using this again.

The 2 pea straw bales Steve placed in my car on cardboard, we’re with mould and damp. I was unaware they were not covered. They were removed a day later and the cardboard. The smell remains in my car From 6/3 and though I drive with all four windows down the smell remains.

Straw bales good value when bundle deal. Will make great mulch for my veggie patch.

I find that I need a thicker cover, to the been straw that you were able to supply previously had, that being said it better than grass hay or sugar cain mulch

I was quick to put it in to use. Stems are long and don’t break easily for putting in tight spaces. I soaked it in eco brooch and water first and it worked great.

Brilliant product, pure pea straw with no stray peas in it so no stray pea seedlings appearing everywhere, I’ll be very happy to get my pea straw from Vasili next time 👍

Liked that it was a bale and not wrapped in plastic however it was very twisted up and clumped together which made it a little difficult to spread around the plants. Have only just put it around the bottom of the tomatoes so hopefully it will do the job.

As this is the first time, I've used it, I will reserve my judgement until it has gone through its decomposition cycle., but at this stage l like what l see and will be buying it again.

This is great product, I soak it like Vasilli instructs with liquid gold and liquid eco boost.
Its coverage is good. You do get a little pea sprouts but not enough to worry about.
This pea straw is far superior to the sawdust crap from the Green Shed

Fabulous quality. No pea seeds in the straw so will not have to keep weeding. Keeps moisture in really well.

The pea straw does its job, but after the second week of placing it the vegitable patch the whole area is covered in green shoots.

I think this is the best method for keeping the moisture in the ground for your plants soaking it before in fertiliser liquid gold and eco booch is good method to use.

Good size bale for the money. I soaked it in the Eco Booch for several days to get it nice and wet and put it around my vegetable plants to help keep them cool and moist in the hot weather. Would buy again.

Fabulous pea straw - no weeds or seeds just a few peas and I'm happy to have them as bonuses!!

Haven’t used it yet. However, I wish it had some covering so it didn’t make a mess in my car!
