Superfood Coarse – Slow Release Organic Fertiliser (5kg)
What is it?
Superfood Coarse is a slow release, biologically active organic fertiliser made from black soldier fly larvae frass, rich in nutrients, beneficial microbes and chitin. It delivers a steady release of nutrients while feeding the soil biology, supporting sustained plant growth and long term soil health. Feeds for up to 8–10 weeks.
Why it works
Superfood doesn’t just feed the plant — it feeds the soil that supports it.
- Gradual nutrient release for consistent plant performance
- Supports beneficial soil microbes and nutrient cycling
- Contains natural chitin to strengthen plant resilience
- Builds soil structure and long term fertility
Suitable for
All plant types including:
- Vegetables and herbs
- Fruit trees and citrus
- Flowering plants and ornamentals
- Natives and succulents
- Indoor and outdoor pot plants
Application
- Garden beds: 70g per m²
- Pots: 1 tablespoon per 20cm pot
Apply lightly and evenly, then water in to activate.
Feeds for up to 8–10 weeks. For best results, reapply as required during active growth.
How it’s made
Superfood is produced using black soldier fly larvae raised on clean food resources that have not entered the consumer market. As the larvae break this material down, they produce a nutrient-rich frass that forms the foundation of this fertiliser.
This process converts unused food resources into a biologically active input for your soil.
What it does
- Provides a steady supply of nutrients over time
- Improves soil biology and nutrient availability
- Enhances root development and plant strength
- Supports better water retention and soil structure
More than fertiliser
This is not a synthetic input.
It works with your soil biology to improve long term growing conditions.
By using Superfood, you are contributing to a system that:
- reduces food waste
- recycles nutrients back into the soil
- supports more sustainable growing practices
Where it fits
Use Superfood Coarse when you want:
- Long lasting plant nutrition
- Reduced application frequency
- Consistent growth over time
- To build and maintain healthy soil
The result
Stronger growth.
Healthier plants.

I've been using this product in my veggie plot. I'll also be using it for my fruit trees towards the end of Winter, early Spring.
This product is improving the growth of my veggies.
Thoroughly recommend Superfood coarse slow release fertiliser. Suitable for all plants and does not burn their roots. Combined with Black Grit it makes an ideal combination for feeding the plants. Or as a 3 way mix with other natural organic fertilisers and Black Grit.
